BD Vacutainer EDTA tubes are used to obtain a whole blood or EDTA plasma sample. The EDTA tubes come is range of sizes and can be identified by a lavender cap. BD Vacutainer EDTA has as an anticoagulant of K2 Potassium Salt of EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic acid) which is a liquid solution that is spray coated onto the interior surface of the BD Vacutainer Plus tubes.
